Prof. Ali Yeşilırmak

Prof. Yeşilırmak graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Law in 1990 and completed his LL.M. at the University of Texas at Austin in 1996. He received his Ph.D. from the Queen Mary Centre for Commercial Law Studies, University of London, in 2004, and has also served as a visiting faculty member at Queen Mary College, School of International Arbitration.

His professional experience includes work as counsel in foreign and Turkish law firms in the fields of international trade, finance, investment and construction disputes, arbitration and litigation. He also completed internships at the International Chamber of Commerce and the American Arbitration Association.

Prof. Yeşilırmak has published numerous books and articles on international and domestic arbitration, investment disputes, mediation, litigation, and enforcement and bankruptcy law. He has acted as arbitrator and counsel in many ICC, UNCITRAL, CIETAC, SIAC and ad hoc arbitrations, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

He served as a member of the drafting committees for the Turkish Code of Civil Procedure, the Mediation Law and its Regulation, and the Istanbul Arbitration Centre Law. Currently, Prof. Yeşilırmak is a faculty member in the Department of Civil Procedural Law and Execution & Insolvency Law at Ibn Haldun University Faculty of Law. He also serves as a member of the Court of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Arbitration and Mediation Center and as a member of the Coordination Board of the Turkish Arbitration Academy.
