Pierandrea Leucci

Pierandrea is President of the Associazione di Consulenza in Diritto del Mare (ASCOMARE), Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook on the Law of the Sea, and Chair of the Steering Committee of the Consortium for the Study of Maritime Affairs and the Sustainable Blue Economy (CONSMAR). He also serves as a Legal Officer at the European Union, specialising in the law of the sea and international fisheries law. He holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Florence, complemented by specialised studies in public international law at Uppsala University, and an LL.M. in the International Law of the Sea from the Arctic University of Norway. He has previously worked at the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea (DOALOS), the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union, and as a law of the sea expert at the Max Planck Foundation. He is a member of the Board of Reviewers of the Latin American and Caribbean Journal of the Law of the Sea (LACJLOS) and a lecturer in the law of the sea. He is also an alumnus of the Rhodes Academy and a member of the European Environmental Law Forum.
