Selman Salim KESGİN

Selman Salim Kesgin is a pracademic specializing in humanitarian action. His academic work encompasses research projects and a range of publications, including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and opinion pieces, with a focus on migration, humanitarian action, philanthropy, and disaster studies. He has held research assistant positions at both Gazi University and the University of Oxford and currently serves as a part-time lecturer at the Social Sciences University of Ankara.
His practical experience spans diverse aspects of humanitarian work, particularly in migration, international humanitarian law, and humanitarian education. He currently serves as the Head of Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy at the Turkish Red Crescent Society, where he also leads the organization’s humanitarian diplomacy portfolio.
