Dr. Deniz Tekin APAYDIN

Dr. Deniz TEKİN APAYDIN is a faculty member at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Law, Department of International Law. ​ After completing her undergraduate with honours at Kocaeli University, Faculty of Law in 2000, she worked as a lawyer in Istanbul until 2002. She was awarded with the scholarship of the Ministry of National Education in 2001. She obtained her LLM degree in EU Law at the University of Kent (Canterbury) in 2004. She had her Ph.D. in Law at the University of Leicester in 2012. She has worked at Marmara University, Faculty of Law from 2011 to 2021, and since then she has been at Boğaziçi University. She has also been a guest lecturer in many universities teaching various international law, law of the sea and EU law lectures at undergraduate and graduate levels. Her studies mostly focus on European Union law (consumer law and constitutional law) and international law of the sea. She also has interest in women’s rights and children’s rights.
