Dr. Ömer Erkut BULUT

Ömer Erkut Bulut is an Assistant Professor at Boğaziçi University Faculty of Law. He holds an LL.B. from Galatasaray University, an LL.M. from Queen Mary University of London, and a Ph.D from King’s College London. He has been a visiting researcher at Columbia Law School and the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for International, European and Regulatory Procedural Law.

His research lies at the intersection of public and private international law, international economic law, with a particular focus on international investment law, international arbitration, corporate accountability, and business and human rights. His recent work explores the evolving boundaries between state regulatory autonomy and the protection of foreign investments, as well as the role of private international law in transnational human rights litigation.

Dr Bulut teaches courses on both public and private international law, international economic law, international arbitration and related subjects. He also serves as an editor for the Journal of International Dispute Settlement and the Boğaziçi Law Review.
